Form Parts 7 & 8 (split)

Part 7. Petitioner's Statement

 Acknowledgment  of Appointment at USCIS,

Application Support Center

I, ---------------- ,  THIS Field is supposed to be blank ?

Part 8, Spouses or Individuals listed in Part 4

Acknowledgment  of Appointment at USCIS,

Application Support Center

I, Joe Dow,  THIS Field has the spouse name populated

So the Petitioner Doesn't to put their name in the Acknowledgment Field  but the Spouse does ?  The spouse has to acknowledge for the interview?  is this correct?

I'm confused with this two parts also. Who is the petitioner? My wife is the US citizen in my case. Is she the petitioner and she will need to fill part 7 and 8?

Yes. This time around, the immigrant is the applicant (petitioner). You are petitioning to remove the conditions on your own green card (ooh! the power! ...Actually, it made me feel pretty good that I wasn't just an "extension of my husband" for this form).

So the USC is the spouse in this case.

And yes, the USC will have to acknowledge that they may be asked to provide biometrics (unlikely) and attend the interview (required - both of you have to be there).

Is your timeline updated?

Good Morning VJs.. I hope anyone can help us out..

We are currently filling out our I-751 (12/23/2016) form using an Acrobat Reader.  We noticed that the box under the Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center where it states I, _____________

understand that the purpose...." fills automatically based on our names on Part 1 and Part 4.

BUT it does not populate our full names. Instead, it automatically populate our initials and last names only, and not the full names.

For example, if we put John Miller Doe and Amy Alex Doe on Part 1 & 4, the Part 7 & 8 boxes automatically get filled out like these:

I, J.M. Doe, understand that the purpose of USCIS ASC appointment is for me..."

I, A.A. Doe, understand that the purpose of USCIS ASC appointment is for me..."

Do guys have the same experience?

Is this okay and normal to submit? If anyone submitted like this, did you have any issue regarding the form?

How should we put our full names?

Your help and responses are greatly appreciated!

yes, but in my case only my wife's name is populated. mine is blank.  Does anyone know why this is happening ?

Part 1. Information about Conditional Rsident

Me

Part 4. Information about the US Citizen

My wife

Part 7. Petitioner's Statement

contact information is there however

However Acknowledgment of Appointment is BLANK and won't let me type anything in there.

Part 8.  Spouse

contact information is there

Acknowledgment of Appointment is populated A.A Doe

Nothing is auto-populated for me using Acrobat reader. In fact, those fields seem to be write-protected - so we simply wrote our names by hand.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what Adobe software is doing with USCIS form data.

P.S. Thanks to this thread I re-checked our form and realized we did not check the "disability accommodation" check boxes. Fixed - so, thank you :)

So, when you hand wrote it, did you just do F. LastName

Or did you write it in complete form as Firstname Lastname ???
