Cousular officer didnt give 221g form but visa status shows under administrative processing. Officer congratulated also but its confusing after seeing this status.

Anyone has the similar experience?

How long have you waited since the interview?

If the Consular Officer said "Congratulations...you are approved for the visa", then you are probably okay, and they are just doing their visa issuance related processing. Just give it a few more days.

If it has been a while (more than a few days since the interview), then you might be in the other level of "Administrative Processing", which means that they are still reviewing your application.

Depends on what was said at the conclusion of the interview, and how long since the interview.

Hope that is helpful.

Dave

Everyone goes through AP. There are 2 types of AP, one is brief while they are working on issuing your visa and generally lasts a couple days max. The other AP can last a very extended time. Since you were told the visa was approved it is very likely you are in the first type of AP, although there is always a slim possibility you are in real AP. A 221g form does not need to be issued to place someone into AP.

For now, just wait a few days and see if your status changes to issued.

congrats ahmed

our interview is 17jan

did they accepted naturalization certif. as proff or they asked for american passport only for the sponsor?

You should start your own thread, and you have been unclear interview for what?

Generally either the naturalization certificate of complete US passport would be accepted unless your certificate is damaged
