Need help with Form 8843 for students

Just a little background information about myself — due to my own ignorance and stupidity, I have not filed any Form 8843 for the four years I was in college and the one year I was doing OPT.

During OPT (June 2014 — July 2015), I used TurboTax, and obviously I have to complete the 8843 + 1040X + 1040NR-EZ 2014 for that as well.

I am trying to amend that by filing those now, and my questions are:

  • Is it too late to file the 8843 forms now?
  • When filing the 8843 for the previous years, should I be using the nonimmigrant status then?
    • For example, when filing the 2010's 8843 form, should I be using my nonimmigrant status back in 2010 (F1), 2011's 8843 form will be using 2011's nonimmgrant status, etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help! I've also asked all of my classmates who were NRAs at the time and they didn't file these forms ever.

Mods can you possibly move this post to the Student Visa section, as it would be more applicable?
