Thanks Everyone for the information.

I am scheduling my interview now online. But the only schedule is Feb 12.17.22-24 nothing else.

Does it means that all March Appointment are already full? :crying:

Nope, it most likely means there a many slot open for then end of February and as soon as they start to fill March will open up.

I meant to say "lower 48 states", as she stated she was traveling to California. I realize that there are actually 50 states and territories that she can also avail a POE.

I never heard that you can use a Canadian city as your POE. I know you can travel through and then once you arrive in USA that city will be your POE. But never a Canadian city. :wow:

YW

Do understand, just don't want to confuse some folks or mislead them into thinking POE can only be the lower 48. I was surprised on Canada having airports that are POE, bump into that one a year or two ago.

I called USEM last time inquiring about if i will be okay to set the interview online. He said it depends upon me if im willing to take the risk of scheduling it without the letter from the embassy. So im mixed up now, i said to him others were not able to receive letters until the entire process is finished. And he repeatedly tells me, it depends on you ma'am if you're taking the risk wihout your interview letter. Though i already printed the ceac READY status.

... typical scripted response.

You already know from CEAC that everything is ready.

Go online schedule your interview... keep things moving along.

For sure don't sit and wait for PhilPost........yikes!!

Thousand before you had no issue... and are happily in the USA. We are still waiting for the "welcome" letter from the embassy... and my wife is in the process of getting her citizenship. :)

Hi Everyone,

I have a question, is there specific paper size required to print your Appointment Letter, SLEC Registration Letter etc.?

Also, does it really need to be 2 weeks duration from your medical to interview date as stated on SLEC Confirmation Letter?

And, I put Feb 29 interview date on SLEC Registration though this is not confirmed yet, should I need to register again just to leave the interview date blank?

Thank you! :)

Ok Hank, on CEAC site our status now says IN TRANSIT, it also says NVC has already scheduled interview appointment for us? Why the hell do they say that if this is not true, are they trying to confuse everyone? Is this the same message everyone else has been seeing when in TRANSIT?

Just use standard paper size 8.5 by 11 inches.

It does not have to be 2 weeks. It can be as much as the day before BUT if the medical is delayed by SLEC then you will not be prepared at the interview and you will receive a 221(g). Your visa will not be approved until they get your records from SLEC. Five days before is enough time to complete and have your medical records for your interview.

No. Just leave the date you'll be find.

Government IS what government DOES. These things seem to never have a logical answer. Just stick with Hank has said and you will be fine.

Is it alright to create an interview appointment profile before signing up for ds 160?

Yes, but why not wait till you can sit down and go through the entire process of setting up your appointment all at once, thus nothing gets missed.

8X10 paper is fine.

Nope. Instructions letter from the embassy state to complete the medical AT LEAST 5-7 days before the interview.

Leave the interview date blank, UNLESS you have an actual interview date before you start the medical.

NVC does not schedule your interview... that is "boiler plate" information that is printed on all correspondence, it is for immigrant visa applicants... NOT K-1. The K-1 is processed as an immigrant visa, even though it is a non-immigrant visa - with immigration intent. Don't try to figure some things out... it just is as it is.

Hello everyone! I'm still waiting for my case number, but I was wondering if I call NVC and get the case number, can I schedule an appointment for an interview right away or should I allow a certain amount of time for our case to arrive at the Manila Embassy?

There is no need to wait unless of course you take a Feb appointment for next week which would not be much time for your file to arrive. Best to schedule 2-3 weeks out from receiving your MNL#. There is going to be many items that you will have to complete before your interview so yes, begin the process of paying your fee, completing the DS160, scheduling your appointment etc.

More details at my website. Link is below at the red twisting arrow. Good luck.
