Hi everyone,

Likely a silly question this however me and my finacee's I-129F paperwork has been approved. I'm trying to make a start on the documents required and was looking at the criminal record check. It states if you have lived in another country since the age of 16 for 6 months or more you need one for that country. I went to the University of Miami for a year. Do I need to get a criminal background check from the USA? Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Andy

No, they are not needed from the US.

Police Certificates: Required for all countries where you have lived for more than 12 months since the age of 16 and any country where you have been arrested, even if you were not resident there. U.S. police certificates are not required. <-- This goes for all consulates. No one needs a police certificate from the US.
