Mexico - PHilippines passport no Green Card

If you have a valid U.S. visa you can enter from the U.S. no matter your nationality. You cannot enter from any other country, unless you have a visa issued from Mexico. I don't know the reasoning except coming from the U.S. they know the US government has already vetted and accepted the person into the country and I guess they assume the person will go back to the U.S.

Click yes on the permanent resident thing and see how is changes for people with green cards. I use this when I travel with my foreigner friends who have green cards but not citizenship.

According to this page, it just says

A foreign who has any of the following documents shall not require Mexican visa:

b) Valid visa from the United States of America;

without any qualification about where the person comes from.

That's just it. The person traveling to Mexico from the US and has a US visa (IR-1, K-1 qualify as they are US visa's). What is wrong with your source? It states the same as Shauneg source.

It's not the same as what he said. He said someone with a US visa only doesn't need a Mexican visa if they go directly from the US, and not if they go from a third country. I want a source that says this only applies if they go directly from the US.

I gave you a link to the Mexican Consulate. I can't do much more than that. Like me, you can use google to try and determine the answer.

I don't really have a dog in this fight because I am not going to Mexico anytime soon.

First of all, your source doesn't say the people need to travel from the US, and not from another country.

Second, it is about permanent residents, which is not what we are talking about. We are talking about people on nonimmigrant US visas.

Visa is only valid BEFORE entering POE. Exception being a B1 or other multi-entry visa.

Which is why I posted the comment, everyone is ignoring the obvious wording. Besides there is no way you are exiting the country with a K-1 until after you have your AP or green card as you are NOT getting back in again (ie the VALID visa wording)

Nope, need to have her green card if you don't want to apply for a visa. Take this from a guy that lived 18 years in Tucson.

(BTW, the visa didn't just expire, it was invalid the second she cleared POE)

Wanted to ask if you did push through with your trip and if you really had to get your wife a visa via the Embassy of Mexico. How was the process like?

Planning to do this as well, but my wife has not received her green card, but she has received her AP/EAD combo already.

I wanted to ask about the process though. To get a visa for Mexico, my wife needs to present a couple of documents she doesnt have for now, like employment letter/employment details (which she doesnt have yet since her EAP/Travel Parole just arrived), they also need her bank details which she doesnt have yet because she is still unemployed. So we are hitting a dead end here...
