Interview date and other queries

Hello !

I have been selected for EDV 2016 lottery and submitted DS260 form a month ago. My case number is 2016AS00004114. I am from Asia, Can you suggest me when will i have the Interview date? Is there any possibility of not getting the interview date for this number???

If I am not mistaken, you applied for the 2015 DV lottery which the results came out in May or June 2015. You were not drawn in that lottery. So DVL submitted your information to be in the 2016 drawing. Which will be in May or June 2016. Your registration is good for two years and then you must re-submit

No I have applied for EDV 2016 in November 2014 and result was published in May 2015. recently a month ago i have filled up DS 260 form and now waiting for interview date and second letter. Can you suggest me when would i get the date?

This was filed before the November 3, 2014 deadline.....We also have another format email that was sent to us....It says Congratulations you are a winner and have been selected to enter the 2016 DVL.......The 2016 at the front of your conformation number means you are in the 2016 drawing...which hasn't taken place yet.

Hairball, I am not sure what you are talking about other than you seem to have used some dodgy agency. DV2016 selectees were indeed drawn in May.

Madhav, you will need to watch the visa bulletin to see when your number will be current. The next one will probably be released around 10 August and will have the first batch of DV2016 cut offs, for October. I personally don't like predicting numbers,but you can find some further info about the process on the britsimonsays.com blog. You can also look at the visa bulletins for DV2015 to get a rough idea of whe the number might be current, although there can be some big changes from one year to the next. I would think the number is very safe for interview.
