Hey all!

I'm an independent distributor with ItWorks! Global, and and trying to figure out how to bring it (tax wise/employment regulations?) across the border with me when I finally get through on the K1.

Anyone have any experience bringing their work-from-home business with them? Tips/ advice?

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi,

Best to close down the business in Canada, and start a new business in the US (if possible). There are considerable tax issues with cross border transactions. Moving a business across a border is not a DIY. Your best bet is to consult an international transaction lawyer.

Bestof luck

I'm hoping that because it's a global company, I'd be able to transfer my information to the US version... Hmm. I may have to contact HQ and see what they say. If not... I think you're right, I may have to shut it down.

Thanks for your help!

It's not a matter of transferring information. It's tax and legal matters involved with moving an active business completely from one country to another. Be careful.

Ahh, I understand now. Thank you for clearing that up! Looks like it may be more tricky than I had planned.
