Embassy question for K1

Ok so back when I was in AP at NVC I emailed the embassy asking if they received my case.. Of course it was NO but they sent me a copy of what would be in packet 3 had they had my petition. My case on CEAC says ready. Since I already have the Packet 3 can I go ahead and do the DS160 and schedule the interview even though I have no official notification other than the Ready for Interview message? Or do I need to wait for confirmation from the Embassy or NVC?

The Embassy told me eventhough they have your case, the Visa Unit within the embassy hasnt recieved it yet. Once they do, they will send you an email with your Packet 3 and 4

The process for K-1 and CR-1 are different, so you will receive different instructions than Lala64.

As long as you have KNG number, and you verified that NVC mailed package, then you can complete DS-160. You cannot schedule interview, until verification of DS-160 received at embassy.
