Medical insurance

I know this is a hot topic, and everybodies circumstances are different. I am in virginia, just filed for AOS and wondering what people use for medical insurance and who. I am reciving quotes of in excess of $500 monthly.

Or generally what can be recommended for people like myself in the same position.

Are you looking through the federal/state marketplace or just independently?

Prices are going to vary from state to state unfortunately, and sadly for the most part there will be sticker shock. I've yet to see someone be happy with the amount they are paying (though I'm sure there could be someone). It sounds about right, give or take.

I have an old grandfathered in plan, and it's ''okay'' for what it is. It's about $300 ish these days, and I hope to be able to add him to it when the time comes. Prices on my state exchange range from 120 (bronze plans) to 500 (the best kind of plans) for individuals.

It all depends on what sort of plan you're looking for? Pay more up front and have a lower deductible or pay less up front and have a higher deductible.

Can your spouse add to their plan?

If you are paying directly for insurance then $500 is common, I have decided to not have insurance last year and pay the small fine. .

I do carry dental insurance.

If I need to go to Hospital I will do like the illegal aliens do in my area, I will go to a public hospital and then not pay the pay. Tax payers help fund the hospitals in Dallas and Fort Worth. So I will just get some of my money back for paying for free medical for illegal Aliens.........
