PAPERWORK? Embassy Interview - 25 March 2015!

You can do it two ways. You choose.

1. Wait till you get your visa and then schedule your appointment with Manila CFO (there is an office in Cebu if that is more convenient). The advantage to waiting for the visa is they still need to place it in your passport/visa. Done!

2. You can schedule now and get it out of the way, but you will need to return to any CFO office to have your sticker affixed to your passport/visa. A little more time consuming doing it this way but if you live in Manila or Cebu, it helps you think your making progress, and gives you something to do. Wait some more!

I'm sorry Greenbaum - but according to Hank's hand-dandy guide, we must have the visa in hand BEFORE we schedule CFO - correct?

Or - did I miss something?

You missed something. You must have the visa in hand to get the sticker in your passport. You can attend CFO before the interview, having the passport and copies is on their list.

Nah - didn't miss a thing.

The "two-trip method" is not a path we've chosen in which to venture.

Like my post said -

"Count-down to visa-delivery begins......"

(THEN CFO)

... just playing games then... ;)

That's cool...

I think the one stop method since CFO started the appointment system is the best move... like what you are doing.

No Greenbaum - the link sends you to the current site that contains Hank's Handy-Dandy-Guide.....

But ON that page IS a picture of a boat, and above the boat are these "tabs/bookmarks" -

Home NVC ~ USEM Process Medical @ St. Luke's CFO Tracking ~ POE

and then over-laying the boat you referenced is this -

K-1 Visa Process - Philippines
Detailing the complete K-1 Fiancee visa process in the Philippines.

(Click the links at the top)

But hey - we're glad to help keep your post-count up -

Cheers!

She's up in Quezon (Novaliches) - it's quite a few "rides" and can be a 3-5 hour trip one way.

Depending on when she gets her visa, we MIGHT (keyword *MIGHT* lol) get adventurous and do the CFO trip as a side-trip on the way to the Airport to leave Manila.

But first - the visa. THEN look at available CFO appointment dates and airline reservations.

I've never had to make that trip from Quezon all the way through Manila and down to the "government quarter" where she keeps having to go (St.Lukes, USEmbassy, and next, CFO). It's NOT a trip she likes, enjoys, or looks forward to. Fortunately, so far, her brother has made the trips with her - and he probably will do it again for her CFO and final departure from Manila on the Big Jet.

I'm glad people have time to play games. Gives me reason to ignore them and let them fend for themselves. :ranting:
