I am a green card holder. I travelled alot since I got my GC in 2011. DO I need to state the date and month of all my travels, ot writing down month and year of travel will be enough on N-400?

You need to put down the actual number of days that you were outside the US so that they can determine whether or not you have met the physical presence and continuous residence requirements.

Check the entry and exit stamps on your passport to figure out the exact dates. It's tedious, but the interviewer will need to verify this information before you can be approved.

If you aren't near the limit of how long you're allowed to be outside the US, then you may get away with just putting down month and year, but you'll be risking a delay on your decision while they ask you for more information.
