So I have this friend who's traveling to the US pretty soon..she's worried about all her gold and silver jewellery..How much can she bring to the US??
She has receipts of the purchases as well..and some were gifts on various occasions...
I read that gold worth upto $10,000 can be brought without declaring...what if its more?...where and how do you declare this??
Please help ..

Gold is considered as a Monetary source of assets at a varible exchange rate the is very liquid and converted into cash so is considered such as cash so that would be $10.000.00.

your friend will have to declare it on the customs declaration form that she would get on flight.
