EAD in progress - online applications

Hello all, I'm hoping I could get an answer on a question I have.

I'm still waiting for my EAD and don't expect to receive it till maybe March. But I have started applying for jobs anyways.

When the online applications ask: are you legally allowed to work in the US. What do you answer? Yes or No? When I type no because I still don't have my EAD

the application stops. Can I click yes? Or will this cause any trouble for me?

Thank you

ROC

You're not legally able to work until you have your work permit in hand. So you put "no".

So applying for jobs is uneccessary until I have the EAD? I have tried several Applications now and it stops once I have entered NO and tells me they wont be able to consider my application

Well, yeah. All legal companies and businesses require the foreigners to have EAD or they won't even consider you. When I applied, they asked the same and took copies of my EAD. You can look at job offers of course, but IMO applying is pointless right now.
