Hello,

I am currently on the path of obtaining my marriage-based Greencard and Permanent Residency.

I recently received the Notice of Action, and as far as my lawyer told me the picture they take of me will be used on my Greencard.

I was wondering if I can wear strong make-up, as I always present myself in public like this.

They have accepted my Passport-styled photos when submitting the forms, but I am concerned about the Biometrics rules.

Also, are smartphones prohibited in the building, even when it is silenced/turned off?

09/21/2016: Sent AOS Package per FedEx Express

09/22/2016 Forms arrived at USCIS office

10/11/2016: Received NOA 1 in mail (forms accepted & processed)
10/26/2016: Biometrics Appointment
10/28/2016: Case is ready for interview & awaiting schedulement
12/08/2016: EAD & AP approved!

12/13/2016: Received EAD & AP combo card!

10/04/2017: Received Appointment letter!

11/02/2017: Interview! Decision cannot yet be made, awaiting final approval.

11/06/2017: Approval letter in mail!

11/13/2017: Greencard arrived!

I am not sure if they care about the make up, but in Cleveland, Ohio I just had to turn off my phone once I got to the USCIS building. There were signs everywhere about this.

Ok, I rather just leave our phones in the car.

Also, I don't want to end up getting my make-up removed there if they request so.

I hope someone who experienced this can answer.

Hi ,I don't think the make -up will be a problem, but no cellphones or weapons..in the building

.And make sure you have no scratches on your fingers...
