IV package help-Pakistan's requirement

Hello,

I am the petitioner applying for my husband's CR-1 visa and I am gathering all the IV package information for him. I called the NVC center to confirm what I will need and what I will not need and they stated that Police Certificate for Pakistan is not needed anymore as it is not truthful (go figure) and also they will not require my husband's passport style photographs but told me to bring it to interview when time comes. Now here's my question regards to it. Should I not send either items as stated by NVC and just take them to the interview? will i get a checklist if I didn't send it? Did anyone had to go through this? Please share your experience.

I have another question, people who have had their US citizen spouses accompanied their Pakistani spouse to the embassy, did you guys go to the interview together? Were you both in the interview together or was your spouse taken in alone?

Thank you

rooj

Hello,

I am the petitioner applying for my husband's CR-1 visa and I am gathering all the IV package information for him. I called the NVC center to confirm what I will need and what I will not need and they stated that Police Certificate for Pakistan is not needed anymore Correct no need for the police cert as it is not truthful (go figure) and also they will not require my husband's passport style photographs Send these in (no reason not to they are super easy to get) but also bring them to the interview, and bring EXTRA to the interview (they lost ours within 5 minutes of taking them at the interview, if we did not have extras we would have been put on AP)

but told me to bring it to interview when time comes. Now here's my question regards to it. Should I not send either items as stated by NVC and just take them to the interview? will i get a checklist if I didn't send it?No you will not get a checklist for not providing the police cert Did anyone had to go through this? Please share your experience.

I have another question, people who have had their US citizen spouses accompanied their Pakistani spouse to the embassy, did you guys go to the interview together? Yes just state that you are the petitioner, no problems going, and I would encourage all petitioners to attend at Islamabad if possible

Were you both in the interview together or was your spouse taken in alone? No one is really taken anywhere in general, interviews are conducted at windows that are part of the main waiting room, you can walk everywhere with your spouse I did, just do not answer questions unless you are told to do so

Thank you

rooj
