NOA 2 Help

Hi all,

I received the NOA 2 in the mail two days ago. At the top, it has a box that reads:
Notice Type: Approval Notice

Valid from 04/20/2016 to 08/19/2016

What exactly does this mean?

If this whole process is not completed within these dates, does anything happen?

If everything is approved within these dates, does my fiance HAVE TO ARRIVE during this window of time?

That means the time they will complete the interview. can be between that time.so if You find your case is about to expired and your fiance didn't get his/her interview appointment you can ask for and extention. Hope this help.

I believe this is the time period where you fiance have to apply for the k1 visa at the embassy. You can always request extension if you fiance need more time before submitting and filing for the visa.

After your case sent from the NVC to the Embassy you can begin the process of applying if you wish. If everything goes well, have a date for interview, your fiance will be required to take medical exams, and if your fiance approved for the visa, they your fiance have up to 6 months from the Medical Exam date to fly to the US. The 6 months also can be extended by contacting the embassy.
