If anybody knows anything about this topic please please tell me everything because we are at the NVC stage in our i-130 app and Im pregnant im frustrated because I know for sure it will take at least 5 or six months to even finish with NVC, I can't do that .....

So we recieved a letter that says my husband is eligible to apply as a refugee since hes in IRAQ my question is:

If he does apply as a refugee.....and doesn't get accepted is the i-130 still valid? like if he doesnt get accepted we can just continiue with the i-130?

Please any information would help because I am ready to give up

Its been a year since submitting I-130 and were still in two different countries :sleepy:

I do not now the answer but you should also take into account how long the Refugee process would take.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I'm pretty sure it won't take more than the NVC slow processing especially since im not sure if the AOS will even work out

I found the answer yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Q2: If my relatives pursue refugee processing under this program, will they compromise their immigrant visa petition?

A2: No. Iraqi beneficiaries of approved I-130 petitions may pursue both refugee resettlement under this program and immigrant visa processing simultaneously. If they prefer to wait for immigrant visa processing or fail to qualify for refugee status, their I-130 petition and their priority date for visa processing will be preserved until an immigrant visa number is available for their case.

Im sure it wont be accepted but it doesnt hurt to try
