Hello to all VJ members and friends,

I am happy to report that today, my wife (USC) and I had our AOS interview in Memphis and was approved at the end of the interview. Thank you to the folks that helped me with a few questions I had while filing. It made things a lot easier. Now I have to wait for the actual card to arrive in the mail. I'm so Happy and excited to be apart of this beautiful and wonderful Country. I know it's just the beginning of this journey but its one that's worth it. The GC will be good for two years and 3 months before it expires, I'll apply to have the conditions removed. Thanks again and God Bless.

P.S. The interview lasted about 35 minutes.

Thank you to Cazzers and Sweet cakes. I can't write all the details of what happened in that interview room because it would take me all evening to type it out. I would advise everyone who's going through this process to be extra prepared. Take any and everything they ask for. They may ask for it and they may not. But it's always better to take it all. Here's why..........Close to the end of the interview, the IO said that they didn't have our I-130 file but that it was in the system and asked if I had anything showing that it was approved. Luckily I did bring all correspondence mail from USCIS and I had the original I-130 approved letter and a copy also. The IO was thankful that I had it. She kept our e-mails for her folder. Looked thoroughly through everything else, writing notes down. Asked loads of questions and looked at Photo albums, e-mails, letters with post marks on them, Junk mail with both our names on it, utility bills, phone bills, car insurance cards, health insurance cards, life insurance papers, lease agreement. Even if it has one spouse's name on the bill with the same address, take it. That's my thoughts to you all going through this process. I got sick from nerves days before the interview. NOT kidding. I know what it's like and it's not a good feeling. Sleepless nights and worry. But being extra prepared with tons of copies and doing your homework pays off. I hope this was helpful to someone out there.
