For what its worth: we received NOA2 on 2 Apr and subsequently followed this up with twice weekly calls to NVC to chase down our case number. This was not available until yesterday, 23 April, which is three weeks in total. This is in line with VJ's excellent trend info.

Now with case number in hand I can see on the CEAC status website that our file is in transit to the UK consulate. I can now book medical etc.

I prefer not to rely on emails, so my advice would be to call them up. Tel 603-334-0700. I had my USC fiancé do this to save on international call costs.

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

I'm just following the excellent guides here at VJ. Perhaps the ability to book the medical is a London-specific thing, I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if processes vary greatly around the world. What is common for us all however is the need for patience and diligence, so stay on that phone!

Peace.

Don't email them...call them! You will be able to know first hand if they have your case or not instead of waiting for them to reply to an email.

charley join the NVC thread the current month is April, there you will find more information on the NVC process then you can possibly imagine.

And if you are able to follow Saylin's instructions religiously, you will fasttrack your case through the NVC stage.

For your convenience I've added the link to that thread here

KayG how do you know you can't get medicals In Ghana until you pick up packet 3 ? Just Curious

I've heard you will not be allowed to get do the medicals until you have the letter. Now this is what the other GH members who have gone through the process are saying. But like everything you will need to verify for yourself and come to a conclusion. :D I hope this helps.

The first thing you are required of when you step into the medical facility is your Visa Appointment letter. At Akai Clinic near the US Consulate, where I had my medicals, that was the first thing I was asked together with other VJ member I met there

Thank you! Is the police cert the same way? Or can u get that earlier ?[/quote

It depends. U can go for it today and have it the next day. You would only have to pay extra than the normal fee. Once they give you the collection receipt and you ain't satisfied with the collection date, just tell them the date you want it
