Hello all!

I just got my IV CR1 visa today and in the Annotation field it says MEDS: CLASS B.

Does anyone know what this means? I'm afraid I might have Tuberculosus Class B or something like that...

any experiences?

thanks a lot in advance!

Anybody here who knows what this means? When I asked St Luke's all they told me was that I have nothing to worry about.

My son's visa is clean, no annotation at all.

Appreciate any inputs you could give me as I am so worried right now.

Class B conditions are defined as physical or mental abnormalities, diseases, or disabilities serious enough or permanent in nature as to amount to a substantial departure from normal well-being. Follow-up evaluation soon after US arrival is recommended for immigrants or refugees with class B conditions http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/yellowbook/2014/chapter-9-health-considerations-for-newly-arrived/before-arrival-in-the-united-states-the-overseas-medical-examination

If they are not calling you class A - you are not contagious. It means go to a Doctor as soon as you can when you get here. As far as your Visa, as they said, you have nothing to worry about.

I would assume that if the doctors at St. Luke's had detected a serious threat to your health they would have talked to you about it. I would relax.

And Congratulations.
