I had my interview at the Montreal consulate on July 7th and I was denied because I didn't have my husband's 2010 tax return. She said everything looked good and I just needed the tax form. They kept my passport and said I would get it once I mailed the additional paperwork. I have sent it and DHL says it was delivered last friday. Does anyone know about how long I will have to wait before my visa is issued?

Thanks

Well that's annoying! Is there any way I can contact them and make sure they even received it? This really makes me nervous.

You can try calling DOS and asking them if Montreal got the package and opened it or are reviewing it, but thats about it!

Montreal can take a few weeks to months to get to your mail and go through it and review things and issue the visa.

I guess I forgot my checklist in package 3, so I sent it off and waited a bit and never heard anything. I called DoS and they were able to tell me when it got there. Hope it all goes smoothly :)

Thanks!

I called today and they confirmed that the package has been received but that`s all the info they had. She basically said all I can really do is keep calling for updates every now and then. So now I`m just hoping for the best!

Hi there - I'm just wondering if you've had any luck receiving your passport and Visa yet. I ended up in a similar situation today. Here's my post. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/322962-canadian-cr1-refusal-at-todays-interview-in-montreal-needs-additional-documentation/

Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and, hope all is well!

Jade
