WARNING for CENOMAR expiration date

My fiancee and I have been very lucky up until now. We both did alot of research regarding preparing and filing paperwork for our packet and all of the documents, duplicates, originals at the ready so on and so forth.

She had to get an annulment, we got it with no problem and as a matter of fact I am in possession of an original of the annulment. She got her passport, NBI and CENOMAR all approximately one month before her interview date. Precisely one day and one month before her interview date. Her interviewer asked her to get a more recent copy of her CENOMAR. It was just one day past one month and it will delay us for at least 2 weeks as we are on our third week right now.

My advice to anyone that is wondering when they need to get their CENOMAR is to wait until you have your medical and get it then, save yourself the frustration of a 2 week delay when you have put so much effort into your visa, 2 yrs we have been preparing for this moment and at this point every second apart matters to both of us.

Good luck, God bless and ingat lagi.

I guess it expires the day one gets married

But seriously, it takes between 7 to 15 days to get. Would be tough to wait it out until the last possible moment to get one. What if it's not ready yet by the interview date?

She got her CENOMAR March17 and had her interview April8 and the consular officer asked her to get another because it was too old. She called the NSO and another has been delivered already, she will be getting her visa shortly.

Just posting this because sometimes the consular officers can sometimes have a bad day and nit pick... be ready everyone.

I think that was it,the consular had a bad day. After reading your post I emailed the US Embassy in Manila and they replied quickly that the "CENOMAR" has no "VALIDITY"!So i think because your Fiance was married before he did that, although you just got it a Month before!you were right, he was nitpicking! Must had a bad day!

So, during your interview, will you tell them, "too bad, it is

not expired yet!"?

I'm anxious to see if you really have the gonads to do it!

Do you mean to say, June 11th? :)

As for the CENOMAR, I'd say, obtain one a week or so prior to the interview.

Good Luck!
