This is an update on our "unusual" case.

It is now July and progress on our situation has been nil to sloow.

To jog youre memory, we filed our case, got approved at the interview and then got a call saying i left the country when i didn't and finally a lazy patched up letter saying we didn't file some form to show how i came back in the US..DENIAL.

We got that letter at the end of April(wow how fast)and sent our reply as well as all the proof our tiny little hands could get a hold of in May.

In between visiting, which we found yielded nothing as this stoic faced idiot repeated word for word of the Denial letter we showed him (that also did not tell us what step to take next in our case).

Called the 800 line and stated our case over and over for weeks and got a letter from USCIS saying that the Denial letter we sent had given us advice on what to do next..when it didn't.

Found our case worker's number and harrassed her a few times too(only in the most polite tones, since my husband has been the one to call not I).Only to hear that our letter with the evidence looked good and that she would be pasing it on to her superiors, who will verify our info.

She told us to call in two weeks, which my husband graciously did.

She also had the nerve to say that when she called me on my cell 2 hours after our interview that i was not convincing enough...c'mon even if i did talk to her in a less frosty a tone she wouldn't believe me because her 'evidence' was right in front her(so she claims) to refute me.

So now here we are wasting another month(almost 2 now)of our lives.

How do theese people get away with treating others like this. I know there are lots of cases, complicated or whatever, but holding people hostage like this does not help either the immigrants or the country.

I should be trying to move on with my life with my wonderful husband.

PS from Limbo

Did you get an attorney to look into this?

It seems like they are doing their own investigation confirming the fact that you didnt leave the US despite you having a return ticket. They will probably talk to the airline involved and confirm the passenger manifests to see if your name was on it. That can take a couple of months
