How is my question off-topic? He is surprised by the CFO requirement despite being a VJ member for 9 months.

the OP became a member 9 months ago but it doesn't mean she was active in VJ the whole time, a lot of people are like that, and it's normal

Well did you get any useful information from VJ? I don't know how the CFO requirement could have been missed it's not exactly hiding behind the trees.

FWIW, I'm not trying to be a smart/jack-a$$ here. We each are the masters of our own Visa Journey and the resources we choose to use are only as useful as we let them be. My wife & I can to VJ because we wanted to understand the whole process and we were able to glean a very complete understanding of what to expect at every stage of the process.

You don't have to spend time here or at any other site more than necessary but don't be complacent either.

BTW, before your fiance leaves the Philippines, make sure he has some extra original copies of birth certificate that you can use in the U.S. for the AOS. If it's his first time to fly here remind him, too, about what to expect when it comes to the whole travel and the weather in your locale, especially if he's traveling alone. Even clothes to wear to be comfy during the flight matters. You know that simple things make a difference somehow.

Hakuna matata.

God bless us all.

Does anyone know when the benficiary fiancee attends the CFO Seminar are they required to provide any legal documents from the USC Petitioner ?

When I took the medical exam at St. Luke's on October 13-14 this year, I met some applicants who have already done the CFO. You can do it once your case is already with the Consulate, before or after the medical exam and before or after the interview. If you do it before your visa is released, you'd have to return there to get your sticker although you had the CFO in advance. That means they don't release the sticker unless you have your visa. I am from Cebu but I attended the CFO in Manila after the interview because I heard from friends that Cebu makes it one whole day. It was really fast in Manila. Besides, they only asked for two valid IDs. That's all.

Did you just attend the CFO without reserving a slot?

I'd like to ask if I can just go the CFO office directly or I need to make a reservation?

Did you just attend the CFO without reserving a slot?

No.
