I came at the US EMbassy around 3AM...I was second on the line for Fiancee/non immigrant Visa. They had us by group or by batch. I belonged to the second batch because my schedule is at 7:30 and some were set at 6:30. The first thing I did before I could go inside was that I had to show to them my confirmation letter and then my passport. The lady asked me if I have two copies each for DS FORMS - 156, 156k and 157(DS 230 wasn't required). Good thing, I have my complete copies for each of those forms. If didn't have the two copies of those then I would not be allowed to enter.After that, I then went to another reception. The girl checked my DS FOrm 156, my passport, my confirmation letter and then she gave me a priority number.. THe number I had was very important since it would be called every now and then. Our priority numbers would appear every now and then in various boards above us while waiting for our line. Unfortunately, it was not in a manner of first come first served basis. They had our numbers in random order, so I couldn't go to the toilet room often times. Everytime I would feel like I wanted to urinate but I just can't because I was afraid that my number would be called and I wasn't there. My number was called for six times. The first time was when I submitted my confirmation letter together with the DS FORMS - two copies of 156, 157 and one copy of 156k. After that, I was called again to submit my medical results. (St. Lukes was suppose to send it to the US Embassy, but when they knew that my interview was very soon they just decided to gave it to me and told me that I would just submit it during my interview). The second time I was called was when they asked for my passport. After that I felt scared. Because, some of the girls who processed for their visas already went to the other windows and their numbers were called for several times already while mine hasn't called yet. I really felt worried and nervous. I just stayed calm and patiently waited for my number to be called. It was almost an hour after my number was called again. Then I submitted my other documents - DS FORm 156K, proof of payment for the visa, NSO Birth Certificate, Certificate of no Marriage, NBI Clearance, Affidavit of Support, our photos together and my fiances' latest Income Tax Returns. While I submitted these forms I was also asked several questions by a Filipino Officer. SHe asked me questions like - petitioner's name, petitioner's job, when did we meet., how did we meet and lastly, how many times did we meet. My number was called again so I went to another window for fingerprint scanning. I was called again for the final interview. I really like my experience with the consul. She is very friendly and smiling. Before she asked several questions from me, she asked me to raise my right hand and that I would promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth..in short I took an oath. SHe asked me questions like - petitioner's name, his job, how did we meet, when did we first meet, how many times did we meet, why is he divorced for three times, why do I think he is the right person for me..I answered her with all honesty....then she asked our photos together. While she was looking to the pictures I told her about it too..where are those pictures taken and when was it. At last she then said - OK! YOU ARE APPROVED !! with a very friendly SMILE....she then told me to wait for further instructions.Hmm,,before I left, I courageously asked her a question about my name which was spelled incorrectly in the NVC letter which contains my case number. So, she had my name re checked and asked for my correct spelling. She then told me, to not to worry about it because they have a system which corrects errors I just forgot the name of it...At last I was relieved when she told me that. I was very very very very happy when she told me My VISA is APPROVED!! Then I was called again to decide how my visa should be delivered...I chose via Home deliver address. Another good thing is that, I told them about my correct address and my new number because if I didn't tell them about it my VIsa would not be delivered into my correct place and they would have contacted a wrong number because they had on their record the wrong spelling of my address and my old number..
