Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 27, 2011
Embassy Review : Well, she got to the embassy around 6:10 and was let in by 6:45
She could only describe the CO as a “not nice lady” who spoke quietly and quickly and not to the microphone.
My fiancée was polite and asked: “sorry I did not hear you can you please ask again” the reply from the other side of the window was “you do not understand English?”, so she smiled and said that she understand English but did not hear the question.

She was asked the following questions:

1. What is your fiancé name?
2. How did you meet?
3. How many times he came to Thailand?
4. Who is this women (pulled out a picture of my fiancée and my mother) and when was the picture taken?
5. When will you travel to the US?

My fiancée was cool and polite and told me that the CO was not polite, stopping her in the middle of the answer few times.
After that my fiancée was given a piece of paper and told to come and pick up her passport on Friday.
She was out of there by 11:30.

Together with her were 2 other waiting for K! interview (all from the same law firm I used) and all were granted a visa.

On Friday she was there by 12:30 , got in by 1 PM and received the passport by 3PM.

It is important to practice the interview, answer with many details as possible and provide as many picture as possible. The CO was checking the pictures and the skype chat logs (245 pages).
Also make sure that she keeps cool and polite and all the time keep the beautiful Thai smile.
Make sure She eats good breakfast (for my fiancée not eating until 11 am can cause riots.
Now with a visa on hand tickets are booked for next week.

Good luck all

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
