Embassy Review : I wish I'd knew what to expect before having the interview! Then my worried head would have been calmer, my mood more stable and my own stress tolerance reduced by about 99%!

There was a short line when we got there, about two people ahead of us, so maybe two minutes of waiting, the officer greeting in the door was smiley and friendly, the police men standing with the metal detector, not really but that was okey. Upstairs there was one lady before us, then we gave our note for interview and was told to sit down by the nice lady working there. Our appointment wasn't until 01.55 and it was just after 1 when we got there, so plenty of time! Our interviewing officer actually cam out and called my name around 1.40 but just then Jonathan went to the bathroom so she said she would come back. Pretty exactly at 1.55 we were called again and walked with her to her office. Before seated we were asked to hold our right hands up and swear the pledge. When seated she asked us to present here the paperwork stated on the list on the table, passport, birth certificate, ead card etc. while looking for the right paperwork she asked Jonathan how we met. He started talking and I filled in, and then we both kind of talked, forgetting about the paper. The officer was very nice and friendly, she asked about our living situations, our age difference (I'm 3 years older than J) where we went for honeymoon, which we haven't but we told her about our celebration planned with J's family in the end of April. She asked if we had kids or planned to have them, which we said yes to, but not yet, what kind of birth control we were using, who we had been staying with in Argentina, in Germany, about my previous visits to the States. Felt more like small talk than interrogation (which is what I expected!) She then said that there was another officer that was gonna look over the material too, and that we would found out in coming 3 months. In addition to the material we already sent in we gave her some more photos taken since we sent the package in, letters addressed for both of us from J's parents and my sister and some copies of email correspondence between me and J's mum.

So well, now our fingers are tightly crossed we'll be notified soon!! Cause the waiting is the worst!

Anyhow, very relived it's done and that it felt good!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
