Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Dallas
POE Date : 2010-06-25
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Quite smooth process - only aspect that was not so nice, was that it took a good 2 hours from arriving until I finally got to the immigration officer who was looking at my case. This time frame just seems a little long, when you are not able to contact the person waiting for you to let them know you are there and bureaucracy is taking its time...

Consulate Review: Switzerland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 20, 2010
Embassy Review : My appointment was at 11 am in the morning and I was there early enough for it. When I was finally shown to the right person, at 11:15am and handed over all my documents, all he did was to look through them for completeness and then said that I had to come back in the afternoon (at 2pm, I believe) for the interview. I was really not happy at that point because when you get a date and time for an interview you do not expect to be told to come back later again. The interview itself was more a little chit-chat with one of the ladies working at the consulate lasting no longer than 7 minutes, I believe.
So I pretty much wasted a full day due to traveling and waiting for an appointment that in total took about 15 minutes... javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
