Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 26, 2011
Embassy Review : My husband Got to the embassy 6am for d 7am appointment,he was registerd and the officers collected 3passport photos, intnl passport, copy of marriage cert and birth cert, letter of appointment.
he learnt as he was sitting down watching that so many were denied or informed to bring either call records or photographs. THKS TO VJ. when my hubby was called d consular officer started by taking his oath and fingerprint then
- who filed for you
- when did she travel to d u.s.
- how did she travel to u.s
- when did u meet her
- how did u meet her
- where does she live in u.s
- when did u get married
- did either of you had any previous marriage
- do you have children
- whats your son date of birth
- when was d last time she came to nigeria
- what does she do for living
- do you have any pix with u
my hubby said the interview ended when the interviewer saw our wedding photographs and other family photos taken wen we were together in nigeria.
My advice ,take photographs(this is the best evidence they believe) dont panic, be confident, maintain eye contact with interviewer and review all questions as seen on VJ reviews as dats exactly wat my hubby did and it was as if the interviewer was asking questions from a script he wrote, infact he has a copy of the questions and answers in his suit.GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AND KEEP THE FLAG FLYING IN VJ. THANKS ALL

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
