Consulate Review: Bucharest, Romania
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 13, 2012
Embassy Review : I was the first in the line, appointment was scheduled at 1pm.At 12.50 we were invited in consulate(I was there with my husband). Before that they asked my passport and my husband's passport and they checked me on the list.At 1.05 a romanian lady asked me to give medicals to one window. After that I was asked about bonafides. To the next window they took my fingerprints.
At 1.20 I started my interview(window no 11).My interviewer was a nice afro-americal lady, she asked me in romanian to swear that everything I say is true.
After she asked if I want to speak in english or romanian ,I said english of course.
The interview lasted no longer than 2 minutes and it was a lot more easier than I thought it will be.Questions:
When did you meet?What site?
When he first visited?
When did you marry?
Anyone from his family attended?
Do you have any relatives in the USA?
That was all!!She didnt ask nothing about my husband but for sure she knew he is there with me.
She didnt say I was approved but she asked me if I can wait to process my visa today.I wasn't sure I heared good ,lol, but I said I ll wait.I wanted also to tell her that this is the best xmas present ever but I was so excited and my hands were shaking so badly that all I could do was to smile.
She gave me back the bonafide file, photo album and our original documents.
At 2.15-2.20pm we left the consulate happy with visa in my passport!
So everything was done really fast and the staff is very professional!
If your relationship is true and you have bonafides to prove that you don't have to worry abut nothing!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
