Consulate Review: Jamaica
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 24, 2012
Embassy Review : Got to the embassy at 7:30 for my appt. went throuh security checkpoint, proceeded to the courtyard sat and waited. after about 15 minutes we were asked to form a line and come inside, documents were checked and I was directed to the right of the room, waited for my number to be called went up to the window I was fingerprinted and the lady asked me for recent job letter for my husband, recent pay slips and 2011 Tax return(my case was completed as F2A before he filed taxes for this year) I was asked to sit back down and wait again for my number to be called two and a half hours later, the consular offucer called me to the window and asked me to sign the DS 230, validate my fingerprint and swear that I will tell the truth. She asked for my passport, asked when and where I got married, asked if my husband was my daughter's father, I said yes, she asked for her birth certificate and that was it she said your visa is approved go to DHL and arrange for your visa to be sent to you.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
