Embassy Review : Hi, hope this helps, I got a lot of help from VJ and I want to help others.

It was fine. Everything was great and the consulate people were the nicest friendliest people.

Here is my review.
Appt was for 9am. Showed up at 7:30. One lady ahead of us. doors open just then and we can go in. They scan the coats, scarves, everything out of pockets, I took a small handbag, take off watch.

We got letter A. Went down the stairs, sat and waited by the elevator. Guard took us up. We sat and waited. Around 8:15 we got called. We were first to be called. Lovely lovely lady, so friendly. Patient, I had everything organized, took the stuff, gave us a paper to go and pay $404. Remember to bring US cash or a credit card if you haven't paid the final amount. Said to go sit back outside. Waited, got called again for fingerprints. Hubby is very tall and his fingers which she says happens frequently so she couldn't capture the prints and no prints no visa. I was so nervous at this point. I never thought that it's possible that could happen. She said don't worry, the officer usually gets them he will take them.

Got called to the officer, he took the prints, Hubby had to crouch down and there were a couple of tries but he got them as that was the biggest hurdle for us. He asked me what our wedding date was. I was so nervous I almost forgot. He asked when we plan to move, what hubby does for work, he was the nicest guy. So friendly. He reviewed all the papers we gave him. He reviewed everything, checklist, computer stuff. Gave us back our originals. We got back the x-ray too from the medical. We both had to raise our right hand and swear that all the info is true. Asked us routine questions, like if we have any kids etc. Just simple normal questions. Not to many. Then soon after, he said basied on the information you provided I can say you are APPROVED. He gave us the welcome letter and told us about the DHL pickup.

We were out at 9:10.
