Embassy Review : |
Jiayang was very nervous about the interview and was stressed about her command of the English language. She arrived at the consulate very early and was admitted around 7:30 a.m. When her name was finally called she spoke with an American woman who conducted the interview. According to Jiayang the interview only lasted a few minutes and she was asked only about five questions.
1. How did we meet?
2. How many children do I have, their names, sexes, etc.
3. What kind of work do I do.
4. Does he speak Chinese?
5. How do you communicate with each other?
During the interview the official looked at our photos, about 100 pages of Yahoo IM transcripts Jiayang had and made small talk with Jiayang. She laughed when Jiayang replied to her question, "What do you like about your fiancee?" by saying he is a good man. She then told her she was approved javascript:emoticon('') and gave her the pink paper and told her to come back on Tuesday of next week to get her passport back with the new visa inside. Jiayang says the official was very nice and smiled and laughed during the interview. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
