Consulate Review: Islamabad, Pakistan
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 25, 2010
Embassy Review : My fiancee and I arrived at the consulate shuttle station around 6:00 AM. There are really no clear directions to this place, but since ther eis so much security in Islamabad, it isn't hard to get stopped and then you can ask directions.

We got our tickets and waited to be called for teh shuttle to the US embassy. There were lots of scans and pat-downs but once inside, you just take a seat and wait to be called several times to different windows.

Once she was called to the interview window, I went with her. They kinldy greeted us and promptly told me I could take a seat again and wait. They were very polite. One owman asked the questions while another stood by in case a translation was needed.

After 10 minutes or so, they told her the visa would be mailed in 7-10 days. All this, and the medical report did indicate inactive TB, B1 status.

We have met in person 4 times including this visit, and also used a lawyer for help in filling the forms (before finding visajourney.com of course).

All in all, it was a great success!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
