Local US CIS Office Review: New Orleans LA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : September 3, 2010
Embassy Review : We arrived 20mins early, made it to security checkpoint. Security guard told us to put the reciept notice under the door. I thought we were going to be first in line because our appointment was at 9am, but to my surprise people were already there. We waited for a hour before my name was called, the IO was very professional and friendly. We took the oath and He made us so comfortable we were even joking a little bit. He ask us to verify our address and we did, he ask us where we met, where was the wedding taken place, and he also ask me all the questions on the I-485 form with regards to Crime of course all the answers were no. I must admit i was a nervous wreck, but my wife was very convincing she blew the interviewer away with the most perfect answers. BTW she's a Recuiter at her job so you know how that goes. The IO even given us some pointers for when i am doing the removal of conditions. He ask us if we wanted to added anything to our file, i gave him our bank statement. He didn't tell us if we were approved on the spot, but he did mentioned that i am going to get an email saying congratulations. At 8:48 pm i got an email and a text message saying that my card production was order. I was just shouting and smiles all over my face actually i was grining .
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
