Overall, the interaction with the Consulate was pleasant enough. They did seem to be a bit disorganized, ie not always sure whether they had received our documents or not.
The only important addition we have to add to the other reviews is that, if your fiancee is from Belarus, they will return the passport and instruct her to come again the following day, so they can conduct their internal review. This is normal. Anna expected them to keep her passport, so as to affix the visa in it, and was a bit freaked out when they gave it back to her. Of course, she thought it meant she was going to be denied. But never fear, it is a matter of routine. |
