Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 16, 2010
Embassy Review : Noon arrived at 7am cause she was called and told to (the visa interview email said the interview was at 1pm). She waited a very lng time, till about 3:30pm before her name was called.

If you read these reviews you'll know there is a very nice lady who generally does these interviews. Noon was interviewed by this same woman.

The questions were informal, I think since we had our documents in order there wasnt much to check. The lady asked the following Questions:

1) What's your fiance's Name?
2) What's his age?
3) What does he do for work?
4) Did he just start this job?
5) How old are you?
6) Wow, do you think he's old (shes 22 and I'm 31, so she was suprised by the age difference)
7) Who is in this picture with you? (show a picture of noon and my mom)
8) Do you parent like Frank?
9) Were your parent surprised cause he has red hair? (She said no, they were shocked how white I am.)
10) How is his Thai?
11) How did you meet?

Then she said noon could pick up the visa on the 23rd, exactly a week later.

The interviewer sounded really nice, my fiance is very shy and she was kind and friendly, perfect. I only gave it a 4 cause of the long wait.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
