Consulate Review: Austria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 13, 2010
Embassy Review : I was there for only 1 hour
They were picky about the photos
The consule was the nicest guy ever, asked about how we met, how I proposed and didn't ask for any evidence for ongoing relationship.
No problems at all
They like it when you bring a perfect application with everything filled out and no open questions about anything. of course
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 2010-11-13
Embassy Review : very simple, just an incredibly long wait (as always at O'Hare)

The officer asked me who sent me to his line, told me it's gonna take a long time when I told him that I came on a K1-visa. It took about 10 minutes. He took my fingerprints and the picture, and asked me how and when I met my fiancee. He didn't even wait for my answer, said it was okay. He looked through all the paperwork and wrote a bunch of things down. He said I'm fine without even looking at the medical package so I asked what I should do with it. He didn't even know what it was and asked what they told me to do with it at the embassy.

His last words were "You have 90 days, go get married!"

Getting from my plane to the gate for my connecting flight took me almost 2 1/2 hours
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
