Consulate Review: Denmark
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 9, 2010
Embassy Review : According to my fiance, who attended alone while I stayed in the states, it was very smooth and quick. He arrived and first sat at a booth with a "nice Danish-speaking lady" who asked him for his necessary documents. He had come armed with a pretty obscene amount of proof of relationship materials (we erred on the side of being overprepared since we are both fairly anxious people) and she only asked to see a few. A letter from my boss stating the terms of my job was all the supporting documents she required for my Affidavit of Support - not my tax return, car title, or pay slips, which he also had. Then he was directed into an office with a "kind young man" who asked him two questions about our relationship, which my fiance answered. The man told him everything was in order and that he should receive his visa in the mail in a few days. Altogether very pleasant, smooth, and fast. We are very blessed to have had such a good experience! Thanks Copenhagen!javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
