I went to Cuba for the interview and I recommend others do the same if possible because it is very stressfull to go alone, the appointment was at 7:00 am, but at about 6:30am Cuban officials are working for the US Interest Section start calling people from the list and getting everybody's IDs
They also asked me to fill up a form for US citizens with my name,address and the reason I was there.
We got in around 8:00am or so.Once inside at the front desk they assigned us to window 6, we waited to be called to submit our paper work and then for him to do fingerprints. When it was our turn the person who attended us was pretty serious but not that bad. When we sat down he told my boyfriend to go pay the fee, then while he was gone he asked me things like how many children he has and if he was un-employed, just to check if what we had in our papers was correct. we did bring lots of pictures,cellphones text between each other and chat records.When my boyfriend came back he told us that the model of vaccination that they gave him was too old and that they weren't using it anymore so after the interview he had to come back to replace that paper befor the visa is issued. After that he told us to wait until they called him to get his fingerprints. After like 20 minutes they called us do the fingerprints and then we had to wait again for the actual interview. When they called my boyfriend up for the interview we both went to window 2, the woman that took the interview was surprised to see that I went too, she was nice and joked around once in a while, at first she asked my boyfriend if he knew the whole proccess of the visa fiancee and the terms (which where to get married befor 90 days had passed), she made him sign a paper and she asked me various questions about when I got out of Cuba in what way (legal or illegal) ,and the reasons why I had gone, she asked me how many times I'd gone to Cuba,and how many days (she said it didn't matter if it was legal or not).Asked him if he was part of any Communist organization or if he had family living in the U.S. The interview was really simple, she asked basic things like when we had met for the first time, since we had known each other since our childhood she asked when our relationship started, how we communicated with each other, she asked if we had children together, when she asked if he was un-employed and he answered yes she said, "Let me guess; you worked at a hotel in Varadero, and when they found out about this you lost your job.", and she started laughing (we did too).I supposed she sees these types of stories every day at Havanna's embassy.
She gave my boyfriend a pass to be able to bring the new vaccination papers as soon as possible so that he could be able to get his visa on December 1st.
We got out around 12:30 pm.
we're happy with the way that everything worked out after waiting 7 months for this day . Everyone working there was very nice.
