Comments : Medical Exam Day 1 (02/26/2010 - 5:20 am) - PDS (for registration), Vitals checked, Physical exam, Labs (without stool exam), X-rays, Immunization interview, and Eye test. Notes: Listen carefully to the instructions given and you will be fine. Bring all necessary documents and have extra copies. Bring extra 2x2 photos because the guards tends to misplace your copies. Be friendly and smile because the staff at St. Luke's Medical Extension Clinic were all nice. Some rumors about their staff being grumpy is because of so much stress from the number people who are taking the medical examination. For females, it will be better if you don't take your examination if you have your monthly period because they won't let you do the physical examination.
Medical Exam Day 2 (03/01/2010 - 8:00 am) - Immunization x2 and releasing. Finally! I am done with the medical exam. I got the immunization record and the CD. They took my passport and they will forward it together with my result to US Embassy Manila. I am now preparing my documents for the big day...INTERROGATION INTERVIEW...lol! wish me luck!

07/29/2010 - EAD card received.
07/30/2010 - Applied for SSN (again)
- my name was not found on SAVE system
- went back few times to check if and re-apply (3 more times) still no luck =(
09/10/2010 - Went back to apply for SSN, they say I have a mismatch with my name on the SAVE system but the name on it was my maiden name and they would not issue until it has been verified with USCIS.
09/16/2010 - SSN Approval Notice was sent and received.
09/20/2010 - I called SSA local office to verify the notice I received and they say my number is already available.
09/23/2010 - SSN received =)

Note: I called the 800 number lots of times to get the status of my case. The agents will entertain your questions but they will lead you back to your local office. And if you don't have SSN, forget about asking any questions, they would just say they cannot entertain you.

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 2, 2010
Embassy Review : I was in the embassy around 6:00 am for my 7:00 am scheduled interview and I finished at exactly 10:00 am. Overall the K1 visa interview with the consul officer went well. The type of questions can be found in the forms I have submitted. The answers were all what I have written in my application form. The consul officer was very nice. I would suggest to all other applicants to be calm and smile a lot during the interview. Be pleasant at all times. When asked, answer from your heart and always tell the truth. After the interview, right on, face to face, the consul officer told me that my visa is already in process and has been approved.

Just a note for pre-interview, prepare all the documents listed down in the visa packet, no other documents needed for this type of visa and you do not need to bring so much proofs...just few pictures, billings, letters, and proof of support... I brought all of my documents/proofs but they didn't even asked for it.

03/19/2010 - K1 visa interview
03/23/2010 - K1 visa process completed
03/26/2010 - K1 visa received
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
