Comments : My Point of Entry to the US was Miami Airport, it was quite easy, they did not asked any questions at all!, they just asked to see my papers (the ones you get int he closed envelope) after that they gave a paper with some instructions and told me to read them carefully. My Fiancee could not be with me at the time they checked the papers, he was asked to wait for me ina waiting area.

Consulate Review: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 2, 2010
Embassy Review : I went to my interview on a very cold december morning, it was freezing! and we couldnt go inside the Consulate until the time of the interview. There were around 25 people waiting for different procedures, only 3 of us were there for the K-1 visa.
Before going inside they ask you to leave your celphone and laptops at a check point outside the building. Once inside you will have first to show your documents and one they see you have all that you need (filled out forms, financial statements, proof of relationship) they will ask you to wait to be called to the interview.
The Interview took about 4 minutes, the questions they asked me were: How did you meet your Fiancee? When was the last time you traveled to the US? How many times has he visited you? What does he do for a living? nothing more than that.

**** The girl who was before me did not her the visa approved, because she did not have enough papers to show that her Finacee had the financial means to take care of her!!*** so it is a good idea to bring all of the financial statements you can get from your Fiancee such as a letter from his job, bank statements, if he owns a house, etc... my impression is that part is the most important....

I got my passport mailed back to my address in Tilburg the day after the interview
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
