Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 16, 2010
Embassy Review : Okay, first of all i want to thank everyone who has supported me one way or the other on this journey most especially my dear friend KemKem. My interview was successful, i got the pick-up slips (for next friday 24th). Here was how its went...

I got to the embassy early enough 5:40am. The queuing started 6:30-7am. i got in around 8am, after 3hours it got to my turn.
Question:
1, Co: Who requested for you in the united state?
Me: My Wife
2 Co: What is her name?
Me: i gave her name
3) Co: Where did you met your wife?
Me: I met her online
Co: You have to speak out and into details
Me: Okay, I met her online on yahoo chat room
Co: Where on yahoo chat room
Me: Interracial dating
4: Co: Okay, when was that?
Me: I told her
5: Co: when did you see her last?
Me: I told her
6 Co: When do you talk and what is the time difference?
Me: When talk mostly in my morning time because its 11 hours difference
8: Co: Did you live in Hawaii all her life
Me: Yes
7 Co: How many siblings did she have and their names
Me: 3, i told her
8. Co: Okay, tell me alittle about them.
Me: Without any hesitation i started with the First name by the time i was telling her about the second name, she had already start stapling my stuff and printing my slip out.
9. Co: Can i see your photos, i showed her and she gave me the slip and my original documents.
Co: I will go ahead to issue your visa, you should come back next week to collect it.
Me: Thanks, is that all? Co: Yes that's all bye.

She didnt even let me open the truck of evidence i had in my other folder. She only looked through my photo album that's all and of course, she's an asian-american lady. The entire interview took like 5-7mins, so far mine was the fastest from what have been seeing.

Key: Try to be fully prepared, make sure you are at least one step above them. Think very fast. Some people got denied from their own mistakes, some can't even understand a direct question. Try reply each question as fast as you can but make sure its the right thing. A very young man was before me, i heard the whole conversation with the interviewer (on K1). Trust me, i should say this guy boost my spirit, i was very proud of his boldness and confident, his interview was the next fastest (8-9mins. They want to give you the visa, they only want you to convince them that your excuses are genuine and that you deserve it. Be yourself and stay calm.

Gud luck my brothers and sisters. javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
