Event Description
Review Date : August 15, 2011
Embassy Review : Our appointment was on 08/13/2011 at the Irving CIS at 8:30am. We got there about an hour early, and we tried to enter the building 45 mins. before our appointment, but security told us to come back at 8am. So, we waited til 8, then we were let in. Security was very friendly. He checked our Appointment Letter and let us go through the security scanner. We didn't take in our cell phones, but I did see clients with their phones in the waiting area. There are no signs saying you can't bring them in, so that's cool for people who want to kill a little time while waiting. We were told to go upstairs and give Appointment Letter to the receptionist. She took the letter and told us to wait. There were about 20 or so people waiting, so we figured we would be there for awhile. I was sort of nervous, but my hubby was cool. We were called about 9:30a by a very nice adjudicator. We stepped into his office, were he introduced himself. He asked us for my husband's passport and my driver's license, then he proceeded to ask my husband his date of birth and his place of birth. Then, he asked us how we met, and by my husband being the talkative type, he explained to him how we met and even cracked a couple of jokes! I guess that must've broken the ice because we started talking about the upcoming NFL football season, families, life in America, etc. The only other thing the adjudicator asked us for was for supporting evidence (rental agreements, bank info., insurance, pics.) which I happily obliged. Then he explained to us when to expect my husband's Green Card, and Lifting Conditions after two years. That was it! Very smooth and easy process!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
