Consulate Review: Ukraine
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 7, 2009
Embassy Review : We arrived early for our 0900 appointment and had to wait outside for a some time. At exactly 9am we were let in ahead of the others in line. Then we were directed to the immigrant section of the Embassy where they took all of the required documents and finger printed Julia. The actual interview took less than 5 minutes. They asked her a couple questions about how we met, how many times I came to see her, and about a previous marriage. Our total time inside the Embassy was 90 minutes. This was more a document check than anything else and Overall a good experience. The hardest thing was waiting 5 days in kiev between the medical and the interview. The weather in early November was much colder than normal with highs in the 20s with windy conditions.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
