Comments : Our appointment was at 0900 am at the Embassy in Cairo and when we came into the room for visa applicants it was packed. We drew number 535 and thought it would take us forever to get done. My dearest husband had his fingerprints done, DHL paid and we waited for about 3 hours total until we were finally called to window #15. We were both so nervous and stressed and carried folders of evidence with us about our relationship. Behind the glass sat the Angel Gabriel (smile) he seemed like that to us. He was a young man, blond, blue eyes with a kind smile. He asked us how we met, where we met, if my husband has been to US and also our divorce dates since we both had been married before. I could not remember mine but my darling hubby (god love him) did and when the angel asked hubby about his divorce date he could not remember his either but I did. Such a strange thing to happen but I think that convinced the man we pretty much knew each other well. It took all of 10 minutes and when the man said: Congratulations, you got your visa, we were so very happy. So, to all of you out there who are still going through the process; even though it took us 3.5 years to finally be together, never loose heart. True love conquers all.
Now we are waiting for the passport and the ticket to the US.
Visa arrived on 5 Feb 2010.Yeaaaaaaaaaa

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
