Embassy Review : |
our interview was scheduled at 9:30 am on April 23, 2009... we got there at almost 9:00 and there were so many ppl ahead of us... we got in there with so many things in our hands including albums containing pics, our wedding card, tax returns, joint bank statements, credit cards, energy bill and so many other things..... the officer sitting at the desk took our appointment letter and gave us pager.... we sat down waiting to get the call........ everyone else was so tensed and confused as what is gonna happen at their interview.... me and my husband were so relaxed that we were making jokes of certain happenings over there... everyone's pager was vibrating when they were called even if they came after us.. but our pager was not vibrating so we were laughing as if it works or not suddenly it started vibrating so we went inside with the immigration officer..... soon after getting inside the appropriate room...... the officer asked us to give her our photo identity, EAD, SS.... then she looked at my medical report.....which had some mistake in the vaccination part..... so she confirmed that by calling my doctor's office.... after that she started taking the interview..... she asked me my husband's date and place of birth... same question was asked from my husband as well..... then she asked me my mother in-law and father in-law's name and where do they live? same question was asked from my husband.... then she asked me are u working somewhere? if yes then how long have u been working?..... then she asked us to give her any mail which contains both of our names.. then we gave her bank statements and atmos energy bill...also we submitted this year's tax return which was under both names then she asked us to show her our wedding album and our family members... like she asked me to show her my in-laws and asked my husband to show her his in-laws.... then she asked about the place of wedding reception.... then she didnt understand the name of that place so we showed her our wedding card which has the complete address then she asked us to take out atleast 2 pics from the album to keep in the file as her record.. we actually gave her a freedom to select any of her choice....... but she said take out any 2 of ur choice......then she told us that I m approving ur case but after 1.75 yrs u will have refile to remove/lift conditions..... and she kept my I-94 and EAD....and she said u will receive ur green card in ur mail box within 4-6 weeks................ we thanked her and came our with our laughing faces as usual................... |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
