Harassment Level : 10
Comments : To begin, I was there to pick up Natalia from her flight at IAD airport on December 16, 2009. I arrived early well before her 5pm arrival but they kept her for another 2 whole hours at customs! They were rude and kept sending her back and forth to the windows and all over the place. I was waiting for her plane to come in and it did...and the time went by. No Natalia. So I walked over to a customs officer, flowers in hand but since he was just getting off his shift he just shrugged off all my questions when I asked about my "missing fiancee." Natalia appeared later (much later, after I was in a state of extreme anxiety and panic) and explained that the customs officers were giving her "the evil eye" and didn't believe her story of a fiance waiting for her at the airport. (Despite the fact that all her documents, medical papers and her USA entry visa was in order) To put a cherry on top of the whole experience at the airport terminal they ripped into the side of Natalia's luggage and tore it beyond repair. What a "wonderful" start of a life's journey. A terrible example of a welcoming committee for others coming to this USA port of entry. Steer well clear of this POE if you want your loved ones to be treated fairly and to remain hassle-free.

Comments : After we sent in our RFE I got smart and contacted senator Web's office to expedite the process on April 25, 2011 and by the time that we left for the weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday with a trip to Baltimore we learned from the following information (on Monday May 2, 2011) from the senator's office that her work employment authorization / advance parole (combo card) was approved on the 29th (Natalia's birthday, Happy Birthday!)for an AOS interview in June on Monday the 13th. That office sure got things moving. God bless them all!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
