Consulate Review: Hungary
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 18, 2025
Embassy Review : The day of the visa interview was smooth, I arrived 30 minutes early but they only let me in 15 minutes before the interview. I had to go up to two separate windows. At the first window my documents were collected, then after a couple minutes I was called to the second window where my interview was conducted. Very basic questions about the relationship and my partner and some about wedding plans. My visa was verbally approved on the spot, then I was good to go.
Pleasant experience.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Cincinnati
Event Description
Entry Date : 2025-07-11
Embassy Review : Upon arriving at Border Control, I was called to the desk and was asked about the purpose of my travel. I told the officer I arrived on a K1 visa to marry my American fiancé. He asked a few basic questions, such as how the two of us met and how many times I had visited before. Following this, I was told to go to a waiting room from where I would be taken to a separate office to talk to another officer. I sat in a chair and had to wait about 15-20 minutes for the officer to go through the documents in my NVC K1 envelope. He also only asked a few very basic questions before letting me know that I am all set and ready to go. He told me that this visa is for only one one-time entry and asked me when we are planning to get married.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
